… a lot like Christmas.

My hope in posting pictures of our little holiday activities, is that you would just sit back and enjoy a little glimpses into our life.  We have our fun moments but we also have our stressful moments too.  And for every little thing I managed to make happen, there were 10 other things that get left undone, crossed off the list, pushed to the last minute, … and that’s just life right?  The trick it to make sure that the truly important things happened and not feel guilty about all the things that fell through the cracks

Enjoy these moments, too soon they are gone…

We tend to measure our lives against a list rather than enjoy what we do accomplish.

I recall wonderful cookie-painting parties when my kids were little, using runny lemon-juice frosting and paintbrushes. The first was when my oldest was 3. She enjoyed it so much!

You are SO right….do enjoy every minute because it will be memories before you know it. Love the pix of your kiddies in their jammies and the cookies and the decs and wrapping….all such clever and DOable ideas. Gonna grab some of them and run!  :)

I love the fun things you did/do with your kids – that’s the good stuff life is made of!!

The cookies are beautiful. My daughter (she’s now 27 – don’t think the time doesn’t FLY!) and I made decorated cookies together for the first time in awhile, and they turned out so pretty.  We didn’t have the guts to do different colors or get fancy, but just used icing and colored sprinkles, but they were still pretty!

Have a blessed and Merry Christmas!

A truly wonderful share.  Loved seeing the childrens faces.  That’s what it is all about.  This did indeed bring Christmas home.  I lived a life ruled by lists for far too long.  Retirement has stop that in its tracks.  Now I take each day as it comes and enjoy what happens, as it happens.  Things left undone are no longer worried about.

Thank you for bringing a smile.
