    one of the best places in the world!  Glad you got to go =)  Love the pic of little miss smiling on the ground =)  When we were there I drooled over the thought that SOME camara’s can catch the way the light plays on the beautiful greenery growing all around.

    @TrainTrack - It was good day:)  Thanks!

    @WakeUpLaughing - Thank you!  You always leave the kindest comments, I appreciate that so much :)

    @armnatmom - Yes!  Great memories.  The kids had the best time playing in the creek with their cousins!

    @buddy71 - Thanks!!  The Santa Cruz Mt.s are really an amazing place to visit.  So many wonderful things to see, you would love it :)

    @UnconventionalButterfly - Thanks you so much!  And thanks for stopping by, I always like new visitors :)

    @ABAHM - Isn’t that a fun picture?  At Mt. Hermon they have a zip line obstacle course in the tops of the redwoods.  We were standing underneath it watching people zip by.  The boys were SO impressed!  They are already making plans to go back when they are old enough and try the zip lines :)

    @WildWomanOfTheWest - That was one of my favorite shots of the day too :)   Summers should be a nice mix of hard work and lazy lovely days… don’t you think? ;)

    @jamekablue - Yes, it only slows down for so long and then it spills through your fingers once again :) Nice to see you ladybug :)

    @song_of_praise - I’m so glad you enjoyed them!  One of the things I love about Xanga is getting to see places I have never seen before.  It’s fun… like a little vacation that didn’t cost any money :)

    @f5ye_angel5 - Exactly!  That’s why I take lots and lots of pictures :)

    @slmret - I liked that picture too :)   She rarely sits still long enough to get a picture of her.  Have you ever been to Mt. Hermon?  It’s right outside of Santa Cruz.

    @Donna7 - It really is an amazing place… like out of a story book.

    @ofunlo - The coastal mountain ranges in N. California are some of the most beautiful places in the world.  I realize that I’m a little biased, but I also happen to be right ;)

    @foreveranoatneygirl_n2Hisown - I keep hoping I’m going to lure you out here Rachel ;)

    @Randy7777 - Thanks so much!

    @bethro78 - The redwoods are so amazing!  If you even get a chance to some to CA you HAVE to see the redwoods!

    @lifeisadance - Hey!  Someone noticed and liked my new header ;)   I’m glad you like it Clarita…that makes me happy

    @The_Carpers - It was a fun day!  Needless to say we brought home three very dirty and tired children… come to think of it we were kind of dirty and tired too ;)

    @Aiamerran - Thank you so much :)

    @inanorchard - I’m not sure about Mt. Hermon, but you’re right that the Sta Cruz mountains are beautiful!  I didn’t realize that’s where you are.  I hope to come up that way this fall or next spring.

    mmm… i feel like i’m late to the party,  but i like it too, i really do! I *thought* the header looked differant, but wouldn’t have been able to say for sure. I DID notice the new profile picture. Like. Much.

    And yes, I would like to meet you at the waterfall, or perhaps even accompany you there. what a lovely hike. you make me long for woods and trees.

    @ElusiveSoul - Thank you so much! The camera I used for these shots is my Olympus E-620 SLR.  The pictures that have the rounded corners and the “vintage feel” were edited using Picnik.  Hope that helps, that’s pretty much the extent of my photography knowledge

    @inanorchard - Thanks for letting me know! Extensive hours in photography classes aren’t always needed to produce natural, beautiful shots, which yours are. I’m saving up for a DSLR myself, so hopefully I can take similar pictures in the future!
