I was inspired to get the camera out tonight and snap a few pictures.
The boys were being incredibly silly!
At least I had one cooperative subject…
I’ve been thinking a lot about diligence lately.
A clutter free pantry…
Clean socks and p.j.s in the boys drawers…
Planning dinner before three o’ clock in the afternoon…
There are always a million reasons not to do the things I know I should be doing, but the bottom line is; I’m the mamma, and I love being mamma. I am the person who most effects how smoothly our house runs. I’ve gotten in the habit of letting too many things slide.
I’ve been thinking about diligence in my spiritual life as well.
There are always reasons not to do the things I know God wants me to do. I get distracted by what other people should or shouldn’t be doing. He just wants me to be diligent and obedient.
“But as for you brethren, do not grow weary of doing good.”
2 Thes. 3:13
A quick house update:
We are feeling more and more at home each day. Gideon has stopped calling it his “new home” and now simply says “We go home now?”.
The back pasture has been planted, thanks to a friend who is taking care of the land for us this summer. The boys and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of popcorn, sweet corn, cantaloup, watermelon, and squash.
