First you must recruit able-bodied workers-

You need to be a useful, multi-talented sort of fellow…

…and wear a really cool hat.

You must find the ideal location-

It was at this point the able-bodied workers wanted to give up and go inside to watch “Max & Ruby”.

Riley does not like our new scarecrow.

You also need plenty of straw and “really big muscles!”.

Last but not least, this post would not be complete if I neglected to tell one more story entitled,…

The Life of a Shirt

This is the shirt that was bought, at the Eddie Bauer in the Pleasanton Mall, while we were still dating.  Back in the mid-90′s this shirt was crisp, new, and stylish.  It was worn to Camp Colorado, on countless dates, and for his senior pictures.  It hung in the back of the closet for many years, was rescued from the Good Will box at least a half a dozen times,… and now finds it’s self adorning the scarecrow out in our corn field.  It is the end of and era!

This would make a great child’s book!  Ever do any of those?  Books you use your own pictures and then have them bound like a book…???  With all your talents, you could!    The boys would probably want you to read it everyday before nap time :)

When I saw the first picture of the shirt I thought, How in the world did she convince him to part with that thing? ; )  Congratulations for getting it out of your closet.

@inanorchard - You are welcome to come by and get flowers whenever you want…you know where to find them.

The menu planning is very simple. I actually just have a 3 ring binder with dividers and a few “calender” pages that I print off the computer…lots of potential and one thing that I hope to have time to expand over the summer. I’ve been thinking that I will get it more organized…

And yes we had a great week in L.A! thanks for asking!

@celebration_of_life - I’d be interested to hear you menu planning expansion ideas.  I’ve been thinking lately that I need to have a much more concise shopping list and make better use of the food I do buy.  When your life settles down a bit we should get together.
