Pictures from our week plus a few words to go with them~

-This week marked a first for our household.  We got the kiddos dressed up and we went Trick or Treating.  Actually Trunk or Treating at a local church.  They ate candy for breakfast the next morning.

-I gave my warmest smile to the rough-around-the-edges, older man standing in line behind us in Costco.  He rescued Miss P’s blanket from the ground.  Then he returned Pearl’s wide grin with a shy smile as he gentle tucked the blanket around her pink toes.

-I didn’t expect to be buying teething tablets quite so soon.  Hello teething; you have not been missed.

-G proudly picked out his school outfit on October 31st.  Anything that had orange was happily donned!  J even wanted to wear something special.  He let me sew a felt pumpkin face to his orange t-shirt.  You could have knocked me over with a feather.  My firstborn, straight-laced son suddenly wanting to dress-up?!

-It’s November.  Wow.

That was certainly the fastest October I can remember. I have to say now that the costumes and trick or treating are over, I’m so ready for Thanksgiving.

You are just so stinking pretty! I see that glimpse of you bathing your little baby in the sink and I think, shouldn’t someone funny and talented be ugly to balance it all out? but no. You’re not.

I love your glimpses of life in your family…I think because I look back at that time as so full and happy. It is work, but lots of loving too. Fun to see all the goings on, and your face too!

Thanks Nicole! Yes they are framed embroidery. They are my son’s drawing and alphabet from when he was 4 and 5 years old. I finally got them framed!

Your family is so sweet! I love, love the embroidery! Did your daughter do it? I know that my two oldest would love to do something like that! How did you do it?

Actually, the embroidery is from my son, he’s 8 now but at the time he was 5. I took some of his drawings and an alphabet he wrote out and traced and embroidered them to some fabric. I’ve kept all the other children’s drawings and alphabets and I plan to do the same with them!

Love it. The kids look so good in their costumes!
All the sweet moments of the week pictured were good for my heart to see. Bathing baby, the table reflecting busy times, embroidery, lollipops. All good.
